Gateway Rose Society is having a sale at the mid-winter meeting! Mini Arrangement Containers of many shapes and sizes will be available. Download more information (.doc).
Congratulations to Bill Radler who will be honored this year as a Great Rosarian of the World. We are proud to have you in our district! See details in the Jan/Feb issue of American Rose Magazine, pages 44-45.
There are several district rose clubs that are selling roses for fund raising this year. Be sure to think of these sales when planning your 2008 gardens. The first reason to buy is to support your local club. The second reason is that these roses are considerably cheaper than if you purchase on your own. The roses offered are either tried and true (and good to grow in this climate) or are new ones that you might want to try (be sure to evaluate for Roses in Review!). These are the rose sales that I am aware of and please let me know if there are others.
Twin Cities Rose Club is selling both miniatures and large bareroot roses. Contact Elena Williams (651-681-9272) or Thyme Hayes (952-401-1971).
Waukesha Rose Society is having their annual mini rose sale. Contact Diane Sommers (262-853-0745).
Madison Rose Society is selling large bareroot roses from Jackson and Perkins this year. Contact Tal Allen (608-835-3423).
Milwaukee Rose Society is selling large bareroot roses again this year. Contact Jonell Neumann (414-329-1558).

The ARS Needs
You!
The American Rose Society has embarked
on a national membership campaign and the North Central
District Rose Societies are pitching in to help. If
you haven't already joined, now is a great time to
do it. If you know someone who is interested in roses,
a membership to the ARS (as well as a membership to
their local society) makes a great holiday gift! Click
here for more information and to download the
printable signup form.
The American Rose
Society has partnered with US Bank to develop
a credit card program that rewards the ARS in
addition to our members. Each time you use the
card, the ARS receives a financial contribution
from US Bank. In addition, the card includes
reward benefits for you – with redemption
opportunities for gift certificates, merchandise
and travel options. Even if you already
have a credit card, you might want this card
as a way for you to track your rose related
purchases! The card design features a
beautiful red rose. |
